Hello! Since my childhood, I have always wanted to be an inventor with my own lab. The idea of creating things which dont exist interests me very much. My project diary, the voidlink laboratory, motivates and pushes me to finish projects and start new ones. Since starting this, I have finished projects and gained a lot of new knowledge. Let me tell you what I'm interested in and working on right now!.
I designed a pocket-sized pen plotter using the cheapest parts I had/could find. I based my design on the cheap arduino stepper motors often found in starter kits. However I found some issues with the materials/design, which I want to improve in time.
I am quite interested in the use of low-power computing. I often use my desktop PC for all my computing needs, but it comes with a power penalty. It can often consume tens to hundreds of watts while in use or even at idle. However, SBC's like the Raspberry pi can get decent performance for only watts. I believe the future of computing, and creating and creating the computing of the future, is a move towards sustainable power draw.
While programming, I like to participate in generative design. None of this new AI stuff, which I am wholeheartedly against, but by programming rules and boundaries which work together to create a design. I like playing around with just inputting random values and methods, in order to create designs which I could not have created myself. A prime example is generating levels for a game. However I place value in human-created levels, as they offer much more detail and design.
